Former Inter defender Daniele Adani has urged the Nerazzurri to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, particularly if Romelu Lukaku is sold to Manchester City.

Serbia international Vlahovic has caught the eye for the Viola this season and has scored 16 goals in 31 appearances in Serie A this season, whilst Lukaku has attracted interest from Premier League leaders Manchester City, amongst others.

Appearing as a guest on ex-Inter striker Christian Vieri’s Twitch stream earlier today, as reported by FCInterNews.it, Adani suggested that if Lukaku were to depart then Vlahovic would be an able replacement.

“Fiorentina do not want to sell, but if he were to leave then he could join a big name like AC Milan or Juventus,” Adani claimed of Vlahovic. “Maybe he could go to Inter if Lukaku joins Manchester City.”

Vlahovic joined Fiorentina from Partizan in 2018 and has scored 24 goals in 78 appearances for the Viola. The 21-year-old made his Serbia debut in 2020 and has earned seven caps for his country, scoring twice.

Adani, meanwhile, joined Inter from Fiorentina himself in 2002 and represented the Nerazzurri 30 times across two seasons, before ultimately being sold to Brescia.
