Amidst links with Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, Italian media have pointed to Inter coach Antonio Conte’s work with Carlos Tevez as a potential factor in any move being a success.

Argentina international Aguero is out of contract at the Premier League leaders this summer and City have announced that he will depart on a free transfer, prompting suggestions that Inter will look to bring him in.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri coach has experience of reinvigorating an unfavoured Argentinian striker at Manchester City, having enjoyed great success with Tevez at Juventus.

Conte was at the helm of the Bianconeri when Tevez arrived in 2013 after a difficult season in England and the forward played a pivotal role in the Scudetto success that term.

Indeed, Tevez, now at boyhood club Boca Juniors, netted 19 goals in 34 appearances in Serie A that season to fire Juventus to the title, and there is a hope that Aguero could have a similar impact under Conte.
