Inter coach Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen his attacking options and is keen to reunite with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

According to Calciomercato.com. the France international is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and has fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel, with an extension becoming increasingly unlikely.

Nerazzurri coach Conte worked with the 2018 World Cup winner during his final six months at Chelsea in 2018 and has long been an admirer of the former Arsenal man, whilst Inter themselves have seen approaches in the past turned down by the Blues.

Giroud had been a key figure under Frank Lampard at the start of the season, but the arrival of Tuchel has seen him used infrequently, giving Inter hope of securing him on a free transfer this summer.

The 35-year-old has scored 39 goals in 115 appearances for Chelsea since January 2018 and has lifted the Europa League and the FA Cup with the West London club.
