Inter President Steven Zhang will be able to begin work as soon as he arrives in Italy, as he will not face a 10-day quarantine period.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 29-year-old intends to travel to Milan at the end of the week and undertake Suning business, whilst also being present should Inter go on to win the Scudetto.

Ordinarily, travellers from overseas would face a 10-day period of isolation upon arrival in Italy due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but Zhang is set to be exempt due to the nature of his trip, with it being considered as for business purposes.

Once the Italian Health Ministry have been informed of the planned travel, Zhang would need to provide a negative swab within 48 hours of his departure and will not be required to undergo a test on arrival.

Zhang would then need to report for regular updates at the Lombary health authority, but would be otherwise free to travel.
