Inter are in the frame to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer, with the Argentina international out of contract and available on a free transfer.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the former Atletico Madrid star has been offered to Juventus but Inter also remain an option, with the Nerazzurri keen to land the veteran striker.

Manchester City have already confirmed that Aguero will depart this summer and will not receive a new contract, leading to a battle between the two Serie A clubs to secure him.

However, Barcelona remain the favourites and will look to bring him back to Spain, with a reunion with close friend and Argentina teammate Lionel Messi a factor.

Inter’s approach is further complicated by Aguero’s reluctance to join and the 32-year-old remains unconvinced by the Nerazzurri.

Aguero is Manchester City’s record goalscorer, having netted 257 times in 385 appearances since arriving in 2011, and has lifted the Premier League four times.
