Inter remain interested in Massimiliano Allegri as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.

As per Sport Mediaset (via FcInter1908.it), Allegri is one of the most plausible options for the Nerazzurri if Conte were to leave the club at the end of the season.

Conte has yet to make a decision on his future and is widely expected to meet Inter president Steven Zhang in the coming days to discuss next season.

Juventus remain favourites to rehire Allegri as their head coach, the report explained, with Andrea Pirlo almost certain to leave in the summer.

Allegri has not coached since leaving the Bianconeri in 2019 and Juventus are not the only club interested in securing his services.

Real Madrid are another club linked to the former AC Milan boss in this report, along with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

Allegri was rumoured to be in line for the Inter job last summer when it seemed as if Conte would leave, only for things to change at the last moment.
