Inter are prepared to listen to offers for their star players in the summer, a leading Italian broadcaster has confirmed this evening.
As per Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it), there is a risk that the Nerazzurri will need to sacrifice one or two players to ensure they can balance the books.
Inter will consider bids that arrive for their best players, meaning that a painful departure is a possibility ahead of next season.
However, the report assured that Antonio Conte’s squad will definitely not be ‘dismantled’, so the Nerazzurri will remain competitive for the 2021-22 campaign.
Despite Inter’s well-documented financial problems, Sky reported that there was still a lot of enthusiasm during training because of their recent results.
Conte and his players are already busy thinking about the future though, following a request from Steven Zhang to the squad to give up two months’ wages.
Inter’s players were informed that anyone who wished to continue at the club would need to make a small sacrifice for the greater good.
Everyone will consider the proposal put forward by Zhang before taking a decision, although reports suggest Inter’s squad is unlikely to agree to the wage cuts.
