Ivan Perisic has set his sights on a return to Germany, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said the Inter wing-back was ‘tempted’ by the idea of moving back to the Bundesliga, where he has already played for Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg.

Perisic is under contract with Inter until 2022 but the Nerazzurri are looking to sell in the summer because of the Croatian’s high salary, as per another report.

If Inter got rid of the 32-year-old, the Turin-based paper added, they could replace Perisic by signing either Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso from Chelsea.

Inter are looking to shake up their options in the left wing-back spot and that will include recalling Federico Dimarco from his loan at Hellas Verona.

Andrei Radu could be sent in the other direction as part of the clubs’ agreement, with the Romanian goalkeeper a contender to replace the outgoing Marco Silvestri.

Inter are also expected to recall Eddie Salcedo from Hellas Verona, although they won’t decide on whether to keep him until the end of the transfer window.
