Stefano Sensi’s thigh injury is not expected to cost him a place at the European Championships, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.
Inter lost the midfielder during the first half of yesterday’s 5-1 win over Udinese, with tests this morning confirming Sensi had an adductor problem in his right thigh.
As per Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it), Sensi should be out of action for seven to 10 days, meaning he should recover in time to play for Italy at the Euros.
The 25-year-old received the second dose of his COVID-19 vaccine today from the Italian Football Federation, along with his Inter teammates Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella.
Sensi was named in Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad last week before his injury on Sunday led to concerns that he might miss the tournament.
He seems on course to recover in time though, with the Azzurri due to open the competition against Turkey on June 11.
