Inter will have no option but to sacrifice key players this summer, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.
Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it) confirmed the Nerazzurri would try not to weaken the value of the team overall, trying to keep it at a competitive level.
However, they will need to give up some of their stars (albeit the report didn’t say how many) which can reinforce the club’s financial position.
Not everyone will leave but some will, and it will depend on which offers Inter receive during the transfer window.
Inter are set to save some money from replacing Antonio Conte with Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach, who will join on a two-year deal for a lower salary.
However, this won’t stop the Nerazzurri seeking further income from player sales, which could guarantee them a hefty chunk of money to stabilise their finances.
Achraf Hakimi and Lautaro Martinez are two players being linked consistently with departures.
