Inter will not find it easy to offload Radja Nainggolan, a report in the Italian media has explained today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Nainggolan wanted a payoff from the Nerazzurri in order to terminate his contract, similar to the one Antonio Conte received when he left last week.

Nainggolan has one year left on his deal at Inter, which would see him earn €3.6 million after tax plus a further €500,000 in image rights.

Inter would save a lot of money if they could get him off the wage bill before next season, which would help the club cut costs as requested by Steven Zhang.

Nainggolan wouldn’t demand the same fee Conte received in order to leave, the Rome-based paper assured, but it would be a significant amount nonetheless.

Inter have the midfielder on their balance sheet for €9.5 million this season and they do not want to record a net loss on him, which means a payoff is unlikely.

As per the same report, Inter have discussed including Nahitan Nandez in any deal for Nainggolan with Cagliari
