Roma are working on a swap deal with Inter involving Alessandro Florenzi and Danilo D’Ambrosio, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Il Romanista said Florenzi was ‘destined’ to join the Nerazzurri as they prepare to sell Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain.

With that in mind, Roma are trying to set up a swap deal which would see D’Ambrosio move in the other direction, with a view to generating capital gains to help both clubs’ finances.

Florenzi joined PSG on a season-long loan last summer with an option to buy for €9 million, but the Ligue 1 runners-up have set their sights on Hakimi instead.

A report elsewhere in Italy today claimed Hakimi’s move to PSG – if it goes through – would enable Inter to keep hold of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

Inter’s new boss Simone Inzaghi has already been in touch with Lukaku to reassure him about the club’s plans for next season, amid reported interest from Chelsea.
