Inter will do whatever it takes to keep hold of two players this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Il Giorno’s print edition said if there was one player Simone Inzaghi would want to build his next team around, it would be Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku will remain a key player when Inzaghi replaces Antonio Conte at Inter, an idea which is shared by Inter’s directors who have put him right at the bottom of the list of sellable players.

Inter would like to sell Lukaku less than any other player in their squad, although Nicolo Barella apparently has the same status.

The Nerazzurri are going to have to sacrifice a key player due to their financial problems, the report confirmed, but their aim is to only sell one.

Barella is reportedly set to receive a new three-year contract from Inter soon, while Marcelo Brozovic is also in line for an extension.
