Inter have wished Arturo Vidal a speedy recovery after the midfielder tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.

Vidal is busy preparing for Chile’s participation in this month’s Copa America, but he has had to take a step back after catching the virus from a friend.

The 34-year-old is reportedly under investigation from Chilean authorities after breaking La Roja’s COVID-19 bubble, with witnesses spotting him at a racecourse with friends.

Inter tweeted from their Spanish account on Thursday: “We hope you recover soon, Arturo!

“We’re sending you all the support and encouragement of the Inter family.”
