Monaco striker Keita Balde could be a target for Inter in the summer, with the Nerazzurri looking to strengthen in attacking areas.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews who report that contacts have been made that could bring the Senegalese striker back to the Giuseppe Meazza after he spent the 2018-19 season on loan with the Nerazzurri.

Balde is currently contracted to Monaco, having been signed by the club from Lazio in 2017, and spent last season on loan with Sampdoria where he made 26 appearances and scored seven goals in all competitions.

The 26-year-old enjoyed some of his best form in his final season at Lazio, where he chipped in with a career-high sixteen goals playing under new Inter boss Simone Inzaghi.

It is reported that Inzaghi and Balde crossed paths while on vacation and the possibility of a reunion came up in conversation.

Moreover, the Senegalese is represented by Federico Pastorello, an agent who has a good relationship with the Nerazzurri and could look to get negotiations moving to bring Balde, a player who scored five goals for the Nerazzurri during his loan spell including one against Empoli in a 3-2 final-day win, back to the Giuseppe Meazza.
