Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard has emerged as a possible target for numerous top European clubs after his impressive performance and goal against Russia at the Euros, and Inter could move for the Dane.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, via FcInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have been tracking the player for months and could make an offer to Sampdoria for his services.

Inter’s current priority on the market is for the sale of Moroccan wing-back Achraf Hakimi with the 22-year-old strongly linked to a move away to Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea in the coming days, but once Hakimi’s sale is finalized the Nerazzurri could move on to bring players in for next season.

With the money from a sale of Hakimi at a high fee on the balance sheet, Inter could move for Damsgaard later in the window.

However, with the player impressing at the European Championship the Nerazzurri could face competition from other interested clubs.
