Inter are looking to bring Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari to the Giuseppe Meazza as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi with the Moroccan looking set to depart soon.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero report that the Nerazzurri have agreed a fee with the Biancocelesti for the signing of the player, said to be an initial €22 million with €4 million in add-ons.

Hakimi’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea appears imminent and Inter will want to sign a player who can replace the Moroccan’s contributions on the right side.

Lazzari is a player with a profile who the Nerazzurri consider appropriate for Hakimi’s replacement, and the player has worked with new Inter manager Simone Inzaghi for two seasons together at Lazio.

Lazio, meanwhile, are looking to raise funds to support new head coach Maurizio Sarri in the transfer market, with the Roman club thought to be pursuing a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt.

It is though that Brandt would cost Lazio somehwere from €20-25 million, and a sale of Lazzari could directly go towards a deal for the German, who is more suited to Sarri’s vision for the club than Lazzari would be.
