With Achraf Hakimi set to depart Inter in the coming days, it is thought that the Nerazzurri are accelerating the process of finding his replacement.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero report that the Nerazzurri are set to meet with the agents of Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta in the coming days, with the 29-year-old joining PSV’s Denzel Dumfries as a target to replace Hakimi.

Hakimi’s departure from the Giuseppe Meazza looks likely in the immediate future, with Paris Saint-Germain preparing to submit an offer for the Moroccan worth €75 million in the coming days, with Chelsea offering €55 million plus Marcos Alonso.

Should Hakimi depart, the Nerazzurri will need to find a player with the right profile to replace his contributions.

PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries is thought to be the top target in the position for Inter at the moment, with the club ready to start trying to sign the player when Hakimi departs.

However, a new possibility has come up on Inter’s list, with the club planning to meet with the agents of Chelsea’s Zappacosta in the next few days to discuss a potential transfer with the player a possible replacement for Hakimi on the right side.

Zappacosta spent last season on loan with Genoa in Serie A, but is still contracted to Chelsea.
