Andrea Pinamonti and Sebastiano Esposito could depart Inter on loan this summer, with newly-promoted Serie A side Salernitana hoping to bring one of the young strikers in.
This is according to today’s print edition of Salerno-based newspaper La Citta di Salerno, who report that Salernitana have made inquiries about the Pinamonti and would be happy to bring him in on loan for next season.
The Salerno club are looking to strengthen in forward areas for their first season back in the first division, with Udinese’s Kevin Lasagna and Parma’s Roberto Inglese among the targets considered, but they could look for a player with a younger profile in Pinamonti.
Inter are thought to be looking to find a new club for the 22-year-old, who was a backup for Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Alexis Sanchez last season and is not thought to be a significant part of new coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans.
Bologna, Fiorentina, and Venezia are all thought to be interested in the player as well, and Inter will hope that competition among the clubs could cause an auction which would lead to a more favourable deal for the Nerazzurri.
It is also thought that Salernitana could target 18-year-old Nerazzurri striker Sebastiano Esposito should they be unable to acquire Pinamonti for next season, with the player still looking for his first Serie A experience after returning to Inter from a loan with Venezia last season, where he helped the Venetian club gain promotion to Serie A.
