Inter have denied rumours that the club are looking into attacking targets Andrea Petagna of Napoli and Keita Balde of Monaco.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri have said that the linked players are not on the club’s radar despite reports of interest.

Petagna has been linked to the club as player whose agent the Nerazzurri could do business with, with the striker’s name thought to have come up during a visit by the Italian’s agent Beppe Riso to Inter headquarters.

It has been suggested that the 25-year-old could arrive at the Giuseppe Meazza as a backup for first-choice center-forward Romelu Lukaku, with the possibility of a deal that would see Inter midfielder Matias Vecino go the other way with Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti reportedly keen on the Uruguayan.

Balde, meanwhile, is thought to have approached Inter manager Simone Inzaghi while the pair were both on holiday, bringing up the possibility of a reunion with his former Lazio manager.

However, for now, the word from the Nerazzurri is denial on both rumours.
