Inter will look to replace Achraf Hakimi with a player of a similar profile, with the Moroccan set to depart in the coming days, and Lazio’s Manuel Lazari has emerged as a target.

This is according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 27-year-old is not wanted by incoming Biancocelesti manager Maurizio Sarri and could depart from the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

Sarri is expected to utilize a four-man backline as part of his tactical formation with the Biancocelesti, and it is thought that Lazzari is not well-suited to either the full-back or offensive winger roles.

Inter manager Simone Inzaghi, on the other hand, prefers to play a back three defensive line with wing-backs, and Lazzari impressed on the right side while the pair were together at Lazio.

Therefore, a reunion could be sought which would both give the player a chance to continue showing the form he has under Inzaghi and replace the contributions of Hakimi on Inter’s right side.

For the time being, however, this is only a possibility, and a move for the player is still some way away.
