Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is playing the most impressive football that he ever has in his career, according to Belgium national team head coach Roberto Martinez.

Speaking in an official press conference as reported by FCInterNews, Martinez explained that the 28-year-old Inter forward has taken his next game to the next level recently.

Martinez’s remarks echo the sentiments of many who have followed the Belgian at Inter, where he has found impressive form under Antonio Conte since joining in the summer of 2019.

Lukaku led Serie A in combined goals and assists last season as the Nerazzurri went on to win their first Scudetto in 11 years with the Belgian a key player.

Inter fans will hope that the player reprises his form from the past two seasons under new manager Simone Inzaghi, while Belgian supporters will look to the striker to lead his country at Euro 2020 the way he has done for his club the past two seasons.

“Lukaku has reached full maturity, I think that he is in the best moment of his career,” Martinez claimed.
