Paris Saint-Germain are still not certain to be the next destination for Inter’s Achraf Hakimi, with Chelsea still working to jump ahead of the Parisians at the last minute to sign the player.

This according to today’s print edition of Tuttosport, who report that the London club could be back in the running with offers that include the likes of Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri.

In recent days it is thought that PSG have become firm favourites for Hakimi’s signature, with the club’s offer to the Nerazzurri approaching Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio’s demand for €70 million in cash, with that figure being reached when all add-ons in the deal are included.

However, Chelsea are still thought to be keeping their pursuit of the player alive, with offers including players going the other way still their strategy to persuade Inter to deal with them over the Parisians.

The Blues have offered both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri as part of a deal, with the valuation of those players intended to bring the total value of a deal to an amount that the Nerazzurri are happy with.

Alonso is thought to be the inclusion who the Nerazzurri prefer, with the Spaniard a top target for the left side of Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea’s approach will have any success, but for now they could still beat PSG to Hakimi’s signature despite clear signs that the French club intend to close the deal.
