Inter are hoping to find a shirt sponsor for next season soon, with the 26-yeat partnership with Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli having come to an end.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport report that US and Asian cryptocurrency platforms are among the candidates in serious talks for the partnership.

Pirelli were introduced as Inter’s shirt sponsor during the 1995-96 season, forming one of the most long-running and recognizable partnerships between club and shirt sponsor in modern football, but the deal with the company is set to expire at the end of the month.

Inter have been in search of a replacement for Pirelli for some time and are thought to be holding out for the most lucrative possible partnership, with the club hoping to monetize the marketability of the recent Scudetto to the fullest extent.

However, time is running out and it is expected that movement towards an official partnership will be seen soon.

Currently the most advanced talks for Pirelli’s replacement are thought to be with cryptocurrency platforms based in the US and Asia.
