Inter will hold talks with technical manager Gabriele Oriali after the Euros regarding whether the coach will stay on with the Nerazzurri for next season.

This is according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that it is unsure whether the Italian will stay on in his role, but that the question will only be discussed after he is finished with the European Championship. He is currently serving as an assistant to Italy coach Roberto Mancini.

Oriali has been in the role of technical manager at Inter since 2019, when he joined alongside Antonio Conte to assist the head coach in training the squad.

With Conte departed it is thought that Oriali may also go, although this is not considered to be a certainty.

Oriali’s contract with the Nerazzurri is set to expire in 2022, and it is thought that relations with the club have been somewhat strained at times, with Oriali aligning himself more with Conte rather than reporting to the club.

When the Euros are over it will be determined whether the coach will remain to assist incoming coach Simone Inzaghi or depart.

Should Oriali depart, it is thought that the Inter management have already identified a favourite candidate to replace him, Riccardo Ferrari.
