Inter consider Atlanta’s Matteo Pessina a target, although it is thought that reaching a deal with the Bergamo club to bring the player in could prove difficult for the Nerazzurri.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport confirm that the 24-year-old is a target for Inter.
The midfielder impressed with his performances at the Gewiss Arena last season, and has continued his form in the summer by scoring the only goal to cap off a good performance in Italy’s 1-0 win against Wales at the Euros.
The Nerazzurri admire the player and are interested in bringing him in as midfield reinforcements for Simone Inzaghi’s squad should he become available.
However, La Dea are not thought to be ready to sell the player, who is an important member of Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.
It is thought that Atalanta see the player as having the potential to improve and increase his value significantly playing for the club and would not even consider parting with the player for an offer under €20 million.
This fact is confirmed by the fact that, should the player depart before making one hundred appearances for La Dea, 50% of his sell-on fee will go to AC Milan due to a clause in the deal which brought the player to Atalanta from the Rossoneri.
