Lazio have set their asking price for Inter target Manuel Lazzari at €25 million, according to reports.

This from today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Inter have begun to seriously move for the 27-year-old wing-back and that figures have been proposed by both clubs for a fee involved.

Lazzari is thought to be Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi’s top target to replace Achraf Hakimi with the Moroccan’s departure looking very likely, and the club will only step up their pursuit of Lazzari once the Moroccan is sold.

It is thought that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has had only one contact with the Italian’s agent, about three weeks ago at the beginning of June, where he gave an initial indication that Inter would be willing to pay €15 million for the player.

The Biancocelesti, meanwhile, are said to want at least €25 million for the player, whose contract in Rome is set to expire on June 30 2024.

Whether this difference in valuations can be overcome remains to be seen as negotiations progress.
