Inter’s Achraf Hakimi is set to undergo his medical examinations before a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the deal to bring the player to the Parisian club now looking very close at hand.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Moroccan’s medicals are scheduled for today, with these being virtually the last major step to his transfer being completed.

The 22-year-old has been the subject of a transfer battle between PSG and Chelsea in the past weeks, with the Nerazzurri thought to be willing to let the player go for capital gains, and now it is clear that the French club have beaten their English rivals to the player’s signature.

The Parisians have agreed on a fee with Inter, reported to be a fixed amount of €68 million with an additional €3 million in add-ons, which Inter are thought to be satisfied with after rejecting an initial offer which was too far away from their valuation of the player.

However, it has been reported over the past week that the French club have stepped up their approach, and with only the medical pending the player should be announced before the end of the month as Inter wanted for accounting reasons.
