Inter could face problems signing Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso, with Blues manager Thomas Tuchel intent on keeping the player at Stamford Bridge.
This according to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, who report that Chelsea may be unwilling to part with the player, who is also thought to be a target of Spanish giants Barcelona.
Inter are in search of a left-sided player for Simone Inzaghi’s squad, with a player able to fill the void left by Ashley Young’s departure a priority for the summer, and Alonso is thought to be a top target in the role.
The Spaniard is reported to have come up as a possible arrival at the Giuseppe Meazza as part of a deal for Achraf Hakimi, but with the Moroccan now close to a PSG move, Chelsea may prove difficult to negotiate with on Alonso.
It is believed that Alonso had been a player that the London club were looking to sell in January, with the 30-year-old not featuring heavily under former boss Frank Lampard, but with the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, the player will have a role in the squad going forward with the current Champions League holders.
Whether the Nerazzurri can test the Blues’ resolve on the player’s situation remains to be seen.
