Inter striker Eddie Salcedo will be evaluated as an option for the future by new Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi during pre-season training.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who claim that the coach will look to observe the 19-year-old during the Nerazzurri’s training camp next month.

Salcedo spent the last season on loan with Hellas Verona, where he was not always a starting option but made forty appearances in all competitions under former Verona boss Ivan Juric, scoring four goals in the process.

The player is still young, and his future remains uncertain, but it should become clearer what his role with the Nerazzurri is after Inzaghi assesses the player’s abilities this summer.

The player could look to stay and compete for minutes with the first team, depending on what Inzaghi thinks of him and which players are in the first-choice attacking rotation.

On the other hand, Salcedo could be set for another move away, either on loan or on a permanent basis, with the nature of the departure contingent on the head coach’s opinion of him.
