Inter consider Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin a serious target to replace the departing Achraf Hakimi, with new coach Simone Inzaghi an admirer of the player and ready to give him a new lease on life.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have firm plans for the 26-year-old should he arrive.

The Arsenal player’s name has emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri in recent days as the club look to step up the search for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi as the Moroccan’s departure is imminent.

Manager Simone Inzaghi is said to like Bellerin, and could look to refresh the player’s career by playing him in a wide-right role in his 3-5-2 system after having largely been used as a right full-back in a back four at Arsenal.

It is thought that the Spaniard’s career is still impacted by lingering effects of an injury suffered in January 2019, but Inzaghi and the Nerazzurri will hope that a change of scenery and a slightly modified will bring out the best in him yet again should the Gunners be willing to come to an agreement for his transfer.
