Standard Liege are hoping to sign defender Zinho Vanhesuden on loan from Inter after the Nerazzurri buy him on a permanent basis this summer.

This according to Belgian news outlet dhnet.be, who claim that the Belgian ckub are hoping that the Nerazzurri will exercise their option to buy the player in the window and then immediately send him back on loan.

The 21-year-old reportedly returned to training with Standard yesterday, and is thought to remain in the Belgian club’s plans for next season after having impressed next season, but they expect the operation to see him remain at the club to follow a certain order.

Vanheusden was signed by Inter from Standard in 2015 as a youth player, and then sent back on loan to the club in 2018.

The following season the player was signed on a permanent basis by the club, where he has stayed ever since, though the Nerazzurri inserted a buyback clause in his contract which they could exercise this summer.

Should they do so, it is thought that Vanhesuden is still an important player in Liege, and will be asked for on loan so that he can continue his adventure with the club for at least one more season.
