Inter will look to bring in Luigi Sepe on loan as a backup goalkeeper to Samir Handanovic for next season, but only if Andrei Radu departs from the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 30-year-old is set to depart from the Stadio Ennio Tardini due to Gianluigi Buffon’s arrival.

The key to the situation will be the status of Radu at the club, with the Romanian thought to be unhappy with staying another season in the backup role.

Spanish club Real Sociedad are thought to be highly keen on the 24-year-old and a deal to send the player to San Sebastian on loan or on a permanent basis is thought to be close, although the player still wants reassurances that he will be the first-choice keeper at La Real.

In the event that he leaves, the Nerazzurri have Sepe lined up as his replacement as Handanovic’s deputy for next season, with the club having also brought in Alex Cordaz to replace the departing Daniele Padelli in the third-choice role.
