Luigi Sepe’s agent Mario Giuffredi has given his perspective on the reports that the Parma goalkeeper could join Inter.

Speaking to Italian news outlet L’Interista, the agent confirmed that there is interest in the player from the Nerazzurri, but denied that a move for him is imminent.

According to Giuffredi, Sepe will leave Parma in the summer, and there are several Serie A teams interest in the 30-year-old.

The player is thought to be a target for the Nerazzurri to replace Andrei Radu as Samir Handanovic’s second-in-command should the Romanian depart, but Giuffredi’s words suggest that they could face competition.

Sepe is far from the only gaolkeeper reported to have been targeted by the Nerazzurri in the window, but reports in recent days have suggested he could be the club’s final choice.

However, while his agent does confirm that there has been contact over the possibility of a move for the keeper to the Giuseppe Meazza, he makes clear that Inter still have a ways to go before completing his signing.

Giuffredi said:

“We had contacts with Inter to understand the state of things, but everything is at a standstill now. He will leave Parma as they are in Serie B, but we also have requests from other Serie A clubs.”
