Inter are hoping to move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer, with the club hoping to bring the Cameroonian in next summer with his contract set to expire.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri will look to progress on talks to sign the player soon.

Inter are thought to be looking for a long-term replacement for current first-choice goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, with the Slovenian turning 37 this month.

Onana is thought to be admired by the club, and with the 25-year-old’s current deal at Ajax coming to an end in June of 2022, he could be brought to the Giuseppe Meazza without a transfer fee when he is out of contract.

Onana is currently serving a one-year ban for violating anti-doping rules, but he will be allowed to return to the pitch in November, so his ban should not affect a potential move to Inter.
