Alejandro Camano, agent of Achraf Hakimi and Lautaro Martinez, has given updates about the situations of both his clients at Inter.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, the agent explained that Hakimi’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain is close at hand, with only a few details left to complete.

The agent goes into the rationale for the transfer, with his 22-year-old client said to be regretful about leaving the Giuseppe Meazza, but the transfer a practical necessity for the Nerazzurri.

He gives the Moroccan’s goodbye to Inter supporters, and states that the player has been happy in Milan and grateful to the experience given to him by the club.

Camano’s explanation of the situation:

“We are close to an agreement with PSG, I can confirm. Will it close in the next few hours? Yesterday, Marotta said it was closing. I also spoke to PSG, we are really close.”

He continued, “Would Hakimi liked to have stayed at Inter? The boy accepts the reality of football. Inter was a wonderful team for him. He has adapted perfectly to everything, he has been very happy with his family and now he has had a proposal from another team that helps Inter. The club needed to sell a player and accepted it.”

Camano stresses that Hakimi was happy with his time at Inter and enjoyed the experience:

“I repeat, however, that Hakimi was very happy in Italy. For us, as a group, Inter represent a piece of history.”

He extends Hakimi’s goodbye message to the supporters:

“He would say thank you for everything, for this happy time with the team, with the Inter players and staff, with all the Inter fans. Inter will never forget what Hakimi showed in the Nerazzurri.”

“These have been complex months, due to COVID, so much suffering for everyone. However, he won the championship, and even though fans were not able to be close to the team due to the pandemic, they enjoyed great Inter matches.”

Camano also spoke on the situation of another of his clients’ Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, and the player’s future with the Nerazzurri.

There has been some talk of a move away for the 23-year-old, but the player’s agent confirms that the intention at the moment is for the player to remain an Inter player, and that talks will resume soon on extending the player’s current contract:

“We know that Lautaro is very important for Inter, we are calm because we have a two-year contract. We are called to speak with the club to discuss the stay or whether to leave. So, now, with peace of mind, after this particular situation for Inter has passed, we will talk.”

“The transfer market is very long, all the teams in Europe will make a lot of moves and we need to talk to Inter. Lautaro is part of the new generation of strikers who will take the place of the old generation.”
