Inter are considering a move for Bologna midfielder Matias Svanberg should the 22-year-old’s club wish to sell him, though they face competition from other Serie A sides.

This according to today’s print edition of Bologna-based newspaper Corriere di Bologna, who report that the player could be sold by the Emilia-Romagna side for financial reasons.

The Swede’s current contract is set to expire in June 2023, and Bologna are considering the possibility of cashing in on him, with their intention thought to be to either extend his contract or sell him.

It is thought that they value the player at €20 million, and would hope to sell him for the full amount rather than potentially losing the player for less when his contract is close to coming up.

Should the player be up for sale, it is reported that the Nerazzurri could make a move for him, although the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Atalanta, and Napoli are also all tracking the player.
