Inter are looking to extend the contract of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, with the Croatian’s current deal set to expire next summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 28-year-old is a target of Barcelon and Manchester United, and the Nerazzurri will hope to secure his future.

Brozovic is considered an important player at the Giuseppe Meazza, and the renewal of his contract is thought to be on the Nerazzurri’s agenda.

At the moment, the club and player are currently some distance away on the question of salary, with the Croatian currently asking for a pay raise to a net €6 million per season from the €3.5 million he receives on his current deal.

The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, are thought to currently go as high as €4.5 million in their offer, though they could go higher, not wanting to lose the player who has been a vital component of the club’s midfield and is still a major part of their plans.
