Romelu Lukaku would not turn down a move from Inter to Chelsea should the two clubs agree on a deal for his sale.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Belgian has opened up to the possibility of leaving the Nerazzurri, which the club have learned of within the last 72 hours.

Chelsea are going all-in for Lukaku, with the 28-year-old the main focus of their search for a top-class striker after looking set to miss out on Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

The Blues are ready to not only spend a large fee on the Belgian, but also offer him an enormous wage package thought to be around €15 million net per season (dependent on the size of the fee involved), far more than the €8.5 million which he earns at Inter.

The Nerazzurri have already turned down an offer for more than a €100 million plus Marcos Alonso, though the Blues are set to significantly increase their offer, possibly to a purely cash offer.

The Nerazzurri’s stance has been that they will not sell the player if he does not wish to leave, but the offer from Chelsea could persuade him, and if he is amenable to a move and the Nerazzurri find it too large to turn down he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge before the end of the window.
