Inter-linked midfielder Miralem Pjanic is set to leave the Blaugranas this summer, but for the Nerazzurri’s rivals Juventus.

This according to Italian news outlet Mundo Deportivo, who report that the Bosnian is close to a return to Juventus only one year after he left for the La Liga giants.

Pjanic was excluded from the Barcelona squad for yesterday’s pre-season friendly match against Red Bull Salzburg, and this is thought to be pre-empting an imminent exit, with the 31-year-old no longer in the club’s plans.

The midfielder has been thought to be on his way out at the Camp Nou for much of the summer, and the Nerazzurri have been monitoring the player’s situation, but it now looks clear that he is bound for Serie A but not Inter.

The Bosnian will reunite with head coach Max Allegri at the Bianconeri, after enduring a single torrid season in Catalonia where he failed to cement a regular place in the team for himself.
