Inter could struggled to sign target Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo this summer, with the 22-year-old’s current club wanting a permanent deal and not interested in a loan offer.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the Neroverdi are seeking €25 million up front for the striker, rather than a loan with an option to buy.

Scamacca is one of the players who the Nerazzurri would like to bring in to strengthen the attack should Romelu Lukaku be sold, with the club aiming for two strikers to arrive before the end of the window.

The club have already made contact with Sassuolo over the availability of Scamacca, but the Emilia-Romagna have made clear that he would not be let go of on loan and that they expect a permanent sale.

It remains unclear whether this would put the player out of reach for Inter, who are aiming to rebuild their attack within budgetary limitations even if Lukaku is sold, but it could be a major consideration for them.
