Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in bringing Inter wing-back Valentino Lazaro back to the Bundesliga next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Austrian is a target of the German club who join Benfica in monitoring the player.

Lazaro is expected to depart from the Giuseppe Meazza this summer, on loan or on a permanent basis, having failed to establish himself and not being in the plans of head coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Austrian spent last season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach, and he could be set for an immediate return to Germany to play for Eintracht should they step up their pursuit.

So far, no concrete offers have been made for the 25-year-old, but he could prefer a return to the Bundesliga over other potential destinations, having also played for Hertha Berlin, from which he arrived at Inter in the summer of 2019.
