Inter striker Alexis Sanchez is recovering well from an ongoing calf injury, and he could finally make his return to action in the Nerazzurri’s first match back after the international break, away to Sampdoria.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Chilean’s recovery program is on track and he could soon make his season debut.

Sanchez has been dealing with a persistent calf problem for much of the summer, having been ruled out of all but 45 minutes of the Copa America with his country, and he has missed the Nerazzurri’s first two Serie A matches of the season in addition to being ruled out of participation in the international break with Chile.

However, after much uncertainty about when he would be able to make his return to the pitch, it now looks as though his full recovery could be in sight, possibly as early as the Nerazzurri’s trip to Genoa to face Sampdoria.
