Young Inter striker Eddie Salcedo will spend the season on loan with Spezia, who completed a shock deadline day move for the 19-year-old.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Ligurian club have sealed the loan move for the young Italian forward before the transfer deadline.

Salcedo had been linked with a loan to Genoa for some time, with Cagliari also having come forward with late interest to try and push through a move for him before the window slammed shut, but it is Spezia who have made the decisive push for the player.

Salcedo spent the past two seasons on loan with Hellas Verona where his form impressed, but he was not thought to be ready to make the transition to the Nerazzurri’s first team and had been expected to depart on loan.

In the end, it is Spezia where he will be playing his football, and the Nerazzurri will hope that he can receive regular playing time and develop his game with the Ligurians.
