Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is in Chile with his national team, having arrived in Santiago earlier today to prepare for the Roja’s three World Cup qualifiers.

This according to today’s print edition of Chilean newspaper La Tercera, who report that the 32-year-old is now concentrating on his national team duties following an Instagram story post in which he appeared to indicate that he is unsatisfied with the playing time he is getting at his club.

Sanchez had made a post on his Instagram story in which he hit out at the club for the fact that he has not received as much playing time as he would have liked following his return from a calf injury.

For now, however, the player’s focus looks to be all on his national team commitments, as he looks to help Chile qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar having missed out on the last edition of the competition.

The Roja are in a tough spot in CONMEBOL qualifying, and will hope that they can rely on their top players like Sanchez as they face key qualifiers against the likes of Peru, Paraguay, and Venezuela over the international break.
