Former Torino defender Massimo Brambatti believes that Inter would have gotten three points from yesterday’s derby draw against AC Milan had Antonio Conte still been in charge.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, the former defender suggested that with the current Tottenham Hotspur boss at the helm, the Nerazzurri would have found a way to win the match.

Inter played well for long spells in the first derby of the season, but they could not find the winner after both sides got on the scoresheet within the first twenty minutes.

The Nerazzurri created several good chances but lacked a clinical edge, and Brambatti is of the view that under former coach Antonio Conte they would have found a way.

Simone Inzaghi’s team are not out of the Scudetto race by any means, but they look to have a big task on their hands if they are to repeat the feat that Conte’s side achieved last season.

“Inter with Conte on the bench yesterday wins,” Brambatti gave the option. “For 70-75 minutes Inter always gave the feeling of being able to score, then when Barella came out Milan got a lift.”

He went on that “Milan are continuing to do well, but then they have to continue to do well in the end. But this is true for everyone. For me, both Milan and Inter come out strengthened.”
