Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin believes that the Nerazzurri have yet to demonstrate the level that their city rivals AC Milan have as a team.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, he gave the view that the Rossoneri have demonstrated a little more quality and a greater ability to take the game to opponents than his former side have.

Inter sit seven points behind the Rossoneri in the Serie A table after failing to make up ground in the derby which they drew 1-1, and while they will feel that the gap flatters their city rivals they will also have to reflect on the reasons why they have not managed to catch up.

Stefano Pioli’s side have enjoyed an excellent start to the Serie A campaign, with the draw in the derby only the second occasion in which they have failed to take three points after twelve matches.

Paganin stated that “My faith is fpr the Nerazzurri as everyone knows, but I must say that today Milan has something more. They are the team that have showed the most, that convinced me completely.”
