Inter striker Edin Dzeko is set to undergo further tests on his physical condition in the next day or two, which will reveal the extent of a problem with his thigh.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the exams will provide updates on how long it will be before the Bosnian is fully recovered from the problem which made him leave the pitch in the second half against AC Milan on Sunday.

Dzeko had to come off the pitch as a substitute during the second half during the derby, with the 35-year-old immediately pulling up following a sprint and indicating to the bench that he would not be able to continue.

Initial tests have not shown the exact extent of the issue, though the Nerazzurri will be hoping that he is rested for his national team’s first match of the international break, a World Cup qualifier against Finland.
