Spanish giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are among the clubs monitoring Inter forward Alexis Sanchez with a view to a potential move in January.

This according to today’s print edition of Chilean newspaper La Tercera, who report that the 32-year-old is a target for the two Spanish sides as they look to strengthen in the January transfer window.

Sanchez is reportedly still not happy with the playing time that he gets at the Nerazzurri, and he could be allowed to leave as soon as the January window especially given the size of his wages.

No concrete offers have yet come in for the Chilean, but he could be the subject of the interest of Atletico, with coach Diego Simeone and admirer of the player since they worked together at River Plate, and the Madrid club could look to bring him in in January.

Meanwhile, newly-appointed Barcelona coach Xavi also likes Sanchez, having played together with him while still a player for the Blaugranas, and could look to make the Chilean one of the first signings as he looks to build his Barcelona team.
