The agent of Inter-linked Ricardo Pepi believes that the FC Dallas triker would be ready to make the step up to a top club in Europe.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, the American’s agent Jaime Garcia spoke about his client’s qualities as a striker and named Inter as a club with the kind of stature that Pepi would like to play for.

Pepi has enjoyed a significant rise in his profile and reputation over the past year, breaking out at his club in the MLS as well as becoming a reuglar in the US national team.

The 18-year-old has become a target for a number of top clubs in Europe, and the Nerazzurri are reported to be among the clubs chasing his signature.

Garcia spoke about where the young striker is at in his career and his ambitions for moving forward as well as explaining his technical profile as a striker.

Among Pepi’s best qualities he named “His eye for goal and his intuitions, without a doubt – he knows where to position himself on the pitch.”

“Comparisons can always be made,” he went on. “But Ricardo has his own characteristics and he wants people to talk about him as an individual.”

On whether Pepi is ready to make the step up to European football he was unequivocal, stating “Of course. You can’t be ready until you try. You must always take the big step forward in order to grow.”

He went on that “Out of respect for the clubs I don’t want to say who is interested in Ricardo.”

“We are grateful to all the teams who have shown an interest in Ricardo,” Garcia explained, “but I don’t want to add fuel to the fire with more speculation. We have talked to many clubs, but I think it is best not to say who.”

However, he stated that Inter are “A top club, champions of Italy and an incredible institution.”

On the fee that it will likely take to bring him in from FC Dalls, he stated that “Let’s just say that we are working to make them happy!”
